Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will act as a strategic partner and advisor to senior leadership and the HR community regarding executive development and talent management. You will provide strategic direction and leadership in creating and executing organization-wide executive development programs and succession assessment and development. The AVP will design, develop, and manage global executive talent-based programs and processes to attract, retain, deploy, and develop current and future leaders.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the annual global executive talent assessment process to identify and develop high-potential leaders and executives.
- Manage global executive talent pools and succession plans, providing insights and recommendations to enhance business talent plans and proactively identify succession and talent risks.
- Oversee development needs for select executive groups (e.g., high-potential leaders, Senior Vice Presidents) and create programming solutions as needed.
- Develop business and global reporting on talent metrics for senior executive teams, and prepare the annual Talent Insights and Analytics report for the Human Resources Committee of the Board.
- Prepare succession planning materials for the annual proxy and respond to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Act as a thought leader in Talent Management, understanding market trends and advising senior leaders on their adaptation.
- Advise, consult, design, and implement business-unit specific talent management initiatives within the organizational strategy.
- Build future talent bench strength by leading the design, implementation, and ongoing delivery of global executive development programs, including a high potentials flagship program and an annual global executive development series.
- Collaborate to ensure alignment of programs with diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, talent mobility, and execution of global strategies for immediate and long-term executive development.
- Monitor and measure the efficacy of talent solutions, programs, and training, and adjust to continuously improve and align with business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in human resources, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation considered an asset.
- Leadership in HR and Talent Management: Proven experience in leading HR and talent management teams and managing large-scale global executive talent programs.
- Seasoned Organizational Development Professional with a strong technical and analytical background in assessment, measurement, and leadership development.
- Proven Talent Developer with experience in building and leading executive talent functions, and a track record of creating world-class programs to attract, motivate, and develop talent.
- Strong Business Acumen enabling fluid and impactful communications and interactions with business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills with the ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively across business lines and globally.
- Change Management Expertise with a proven ability to act as a catalyst for change within a business.
- Effective Stakeholder Management with the ability to provide guidance and challenge to multiple executive stakeholders.
- Strategic HR Advisor capable of addressing issues through appropriate HR channels and providing expert counsel on strategic plans.
- Organizational and Analytical Skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Abilities with highly developed analytical skills.
- Self-Motivated Team Player with high energy and the ability to work independently.

REQUIRED
- Hybrid work environment with 3-days per week working in the downtown Toronto office.
- Consideration to work on-site in London, ON or Winnipeg, MB offices.
