Position Overview:The Autobody Refinishing Technician plays a crucial role in the restoration and enhancement of vehicle exteriors. This position involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish that meets both customer expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in various painting techniques, and dedicated to delivering exceptional results.Job Description:

• Prepare vehicles for refinishing by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve desired finishes.
• Operate spray guns and other refinishing equipment to apply paint, clear coats, and other protective materials.
• Inspect completed work for quality, ensuring that the finish is smooth and free of imperfections.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Keep up to date with advancements in automotive refinishing techniques and materials.

Requirements:

• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
• Proven experience as an autobody refinishing technician or in a related role.
• Knowledge of various paint systems and refinishing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
• I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
