Job Description: ResponsibilitiesAs an integral support to the project management team, the Associate Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring successful project delivery by:
- Preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, ensuring all key points are captured.
- Coordinating and facilitating meetings, following up on action items to ensure tasks are completed.
- Supporting the design and documentation process, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Assisting in the creation and documentation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including services and FF&E items.
- Reviewing and documenting RFP bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Conducting research on client recommendations and delivering timely, well-organized results.
- Assisting with the review of payment requisitions, change orders, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and client procedures.
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, cost control logs, and ensuring real-time updates.
- Attending construction site visit and documenting with site photos as required.
- Compiling and presenting project status reports, including executive summaries and open item lists.
- Identifying potential issues, reporting significant findings to supervisors, and recommending solutions.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- University degree in architecture or engineering or certificate in similar disciplines with relevant experience. Degree in project management or construction management is an asset;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in support project management of multi-disciplinary projects in the field of building construction;
- CAPM certification an asset;
- Exceptionally self-motivated and organized;
- Proactive and action-oriented;
- Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment requiring prioritization of actions;
- Proven communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
