Job Description: Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking certified Aquatic Instructors responsible for lesson management of Lifesaving Society Swim for Life lessons and Lifesaving entry level programs. Instructors ensure participants are taught according to safety and skill standards outlined by Saanich and Aquatic agencies. Aquatic Instructors are responsible for evaluation of participants, record keeping and public relations.Requirements include completion of Grade 10; Current Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor Award; three months of related experience; Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
