Job Description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an Application Portfolio Management Consultant to join their team on a contract basis.Summary of the Role:
The Application Portfolio Management Consultant will support the foundational setup of portfolio management for nine IT platforms within the Technology Platform Solutions department. The platforms vary in complexity, ranging from specific-function solutions to large-scale enterprise platforms. The objective is to enhance platform management maturity by improving visibility, standardizing practices, and coordinating platform demand across both centralized and decentralized models.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the setup of portfolio management for nine IT platforms.
• Establish platform roles & responsibilities, policies, standards, best practices, and tools.
• Develop platform roadmaps and implement investment governance frameworks.
• For two platforms, provide additional deliverables including investment-to-strategy traceback, investment pipeline creation, and identification of platform KPIs & metrics.
• Coordinate platform demand and support operational governance for decentralized and centralized platforms.

Core Requirements:

• Specialization in Application Portfolio Management consulting.
• Proven experience facilitating and coordinating outcomes in portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of governance structures for IT platforms.
• Experience with platform metrics, KPIs, and investment planning.
• Familiarity with centralized and decentralized platform management models.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience working with public sector clients.
• Ability to manage complex platforms with varying management practices.

Terms:
This is a 5-month contract with the possibility of extension. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with specific details to be confirmed. The estimated start date is October 28, 2024, and the initial contract ends on March 31, 2025.About Ignite Technical:
