• Provide support to the annual budget forecasting and preparation process.
• Prepare various monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage and reconcile government funding and other sources of grants
• Post and reconcile recurring journal entries for period closing
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Provide external audit support
• Coordinate Housing portfolio accounting and provide support for Housing resident billings
• Provide support to Finance team as needed.
• Capture, record, process and analyze monthly financial data required for financial statement preparation.
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Qualification & Experience

• A recognized bachelor’s degree in business, Management or other related fields.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of direct Accounting/Finance experience
• The CPA designation is considered an asset.
• Non-profit experience considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate technical information to all stakeholders.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and SharePoint – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Accounting Programs.
• Experience in UNIT4 accounting software or Point Click Care is considered an asset.
