Therefore, we are seeking an Advisor – Data Architecture & Analytics to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. This dynamic role will be instrumental in defining the strategy and blueprint for CPNA’s data framework and business intelligence. Working closely with business leaders and IT teams, the Data Architecture & Analytics Advisor will design and implement a roadmap for analytics, business intelligence, and data management including data integrations and governance.Your Background
- 15+ years of experience with data architecture design, analytics and data pipeline development.
- University degree in Information Technology, Commerce or Computer Engineering
- Advanced-level degree in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or E-Business considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with difference levels of business and technical resources.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical and functional data and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with data visualization, data virtualization, data integration, and data warehousing tools and techniques.
- Experience with Oil and Gas.
- Knowledge Microsoft Azure or other cloud computing environments considered an asset.
Your Role with Our Team
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to ensure accessibility, scalability, and availability of data views for reporting, analytics, and data ingestion.
- Develop and execute detailed data designs for applications, data integrations, and new projects.
- Oversee team of data integrations, data analytics, and business intelligence and reporting resources from managed service provider.
- Develop roadmap for data analytics tools and platforms including critical upgrades, leveraging latest technology, automation opportunities, and application rationalization.
- Monitor data views and pipelines for accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Develop and communicate standards and best practices for data views used in production.
- Direct data governance best practices and policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and relevant regulations such as GDPR and PIPEDA.
- Educate users on proper data handling practices, data privacy, and data hygiene responsibilities.
- Provide support and training to business report developers and data analysts.
- Interact with business users, business leaders, IT, and the managed service provider translating business requirements into complex technical and functional requirements.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics of managed service provider to ensure work is carried out as expected.
