Title of the Job: Administrative Coordinator (Internal Audit)

Location: Richmond, BC

Job Description: OverviewAre you a resourceful, self-motivated administrative coordinator with the power to initiate plans, act on your decisions, and independently follow through to completion? You’ll work in our Internal Audit department and support a team that provides risk-based internal assurance services to evaluate and contribute to the improvement of governance, risk management, and internal control processes.In this administrative role, you’ll report to the Director of Internal Audit and perform diverse secretarial and administrative support duties that require accuracy and attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines. This position requires you to use discretion and tact in handling confidential and sensitive information relating to WorkSafeBC matters. The department is strictly accountable for the privacy protection of confidential information.   • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports that complies with the WorkSafeBC and Internal Audit report writing standards within timelines requirements.
  • Perform editorial review of all audit reports.
  • Review departmental monthly financial reports and compile various monthly statistics.
  • Manage the calendars and appointments of the Director of Internal Audit.
  • Assist in the coordination of meeting schedules, prepare agendas, arrange facilities, food, and beverages for various meetings, and room administration.
  • Arrange meetings and seminars, and make travel and accommodation arrangements, as required.
  • Provide administrative support to all members of the internal audit team.
  • Maintain SharePoint teamsite, Local Area Network, and audit management system.
  • Undertake non-routine special projects, some of which may be sensitive to departmental employees, as assigned.
  • Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals.

Your background and experience

  • Completion of grade 12 is required. Post-secondary education is an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience supporting senior management and/or Director level operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint
