If so, this is the job for you!We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and highly organized Administrative and Logistics Coordinator to provide general and logistical support for the activities of the Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Director General and coordinating important directorate priorities. Equipped with a strong understanding of the Senate’s structure and activities, the incumbent will also be responsible for managing incoming correspondence from the public, senators and staff. This individual will prepare the daily media clippings, will coordinate communications activities, and will plan events related to SENgage, the Senate’s youth outreach program.Open toThe general public to staff one (1) indeterminate full-time position in the Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.In addition to their resume, applicants are required to send a cover letter (maximum one page) highlighting how they would like to contribute to the Senate’s communications activities.This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.The Senate of Canada is committed to building a skilled and diverse workforce that reflects the Canadians we serve, starting with an inclusive and barrier-free hiring process.   • Post-secondary diploma in a related field of study OR an acceptable combination of training and relevant experience;
  • Three (3) years of experience in an administrative role, including dealing with confidential information;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and exchange information with clients and stakeholders, and to follow up on requests and queries;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong attention to detail to input data, manage various types of records and activities and prepare a variety of reports/queries;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Forms);
  • Knowledge of general administrative principles and information management practices to oversee the efficient operation of the office;
  • Knowledge of the SENgage program and event planning best practices will be considered an asset.
