Job Description: What it’s like to be a Northbridge Actuarial Analyst, Corporate ActuaryOur Actuarial Analysts are known in the organization for being the experts in providing insights to many teams, including claims, finance and underwriting; allowing us the ability to best serve our customers while mitigating risk. They use their strong actuarial knowledge to ensure our reserves are not only adequate to protect our customers in their time of need, but are also able to draw out the claims insights to help our colleagues in making important operational decisions.They are passionate about digging deep into the data and providing their opinion of what we should be doing – this doesn’t just mean being good with numbers – it also means being able to explain these numbers to leaders without an actuarial background.Working in collaboration with other actuaries and data scientists within our team, there is the opportunity for developing new reserving methodologies and utilizing new tools to ensure that Northbridge stays on the cutting edge in this competitive industry.We want your talentIf you are great at:Being naturally curious to understand the story behind the numbersResearching, developing, and implementing new, efficient, and optimal approaches to reserving and stress testingCollaborating with teammates to ensure proper communication of observed trends to drive appropriate actionIf you have:Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences or a Master’s Degree in MathematicsP&C Reserving and Stress Testing (FCT/DCAT) Experience3 CAS exams preferred, or equivalent experienceWe really mean it when we say we put you first.
