Come and share your passion with us!We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist for our Financial Reporting & Consolidation department, who will play a key role in the analysis and disclosure of financial information.What you’ll do here:Participate in the preparation of Intact Financial Corporation’s quarterly and annual consolidated financial statementsParticipate in the accounting of unusual transactions such as acquisitions, tax reorganizations and other complex accounting operations, such as the accounting of stock-based compensation.Participate in the monthly consolidation of Intact Financial Corporation’s various subsidiaries, including several foreign-currency entitiesParticipate in the preparation of detailed monthly and quarterly analyses, including analytical reviewPrepare strategic financial analyses as requested by managementInitiate and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projectsSupport the external auditors by providing the various explanations and analyses requiredProduce 52-109 controls to maintain a robust internal control environmentWhat you bring to the table:Professional accounting designation CPA – is required5 years experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards or complex accounting transactions (e.g. acquisitions, sales, foreign exchange, etc.)Experience in consolidation tools (financial reporting) – is requiredKnowledge of the P&C insurance industry is an assetKnowledge of Oracle, Hyperion or implementation of these tools is an assetFast learning, agility and adaptability to changeStrong oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsCan interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholdersFor candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.#LI-HybridWhat we offerWorking here means you’ll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
