Expected Base Salary Range: $88,000 – $95,000 per yearResponsibilities:

  • Assist with all accounting tasks, including closing processes at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, as well as preparing financial statements, notes, and facilitating quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Prepare and review financial data, journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules according to IFRS standards, with strong attention to detail.
  • Actively address and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable functions, including:
  • Tracking and monitoring payments, receivables, and payables.
  • Verifying account coding and account mappings.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of billing and reconciliation processes, which requires understanding the relevant key transaction data.
  • Serving as a go-to resource to resolve accounting questions and issues, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and internal controls.
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of monthly internal reports and checks.
  • Analyze contract changes and assess their potential impact on financial reporting.
  • Assist with cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Provide support for receivable and payable functions as necessary.
  • Assist with tax, budget and forecasting processes.
  • Support with reporting and systems updates as needed, including design, implementation and testing.
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities and create efficiencies within a strong control environment
  • Build and maintain strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure the finance division provides strong value to the organization.

Requirements:

  • Over 4 years of relevant experience, with prior audit experience (preferred) or accounting supervisory experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or holder of a comparable professional accounting certification.
  • Superb attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintains high performance standards, eager to learn, applies a continuous-improvement mindset, and able to take initiative independently.
  • Experience with system implementation is an asset
  • Proven experience interpreting large volumes of data, both financial and non-financial.
  • Proficient in understanding and applying accounting standards like IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Capable of effectively communicating complex concepts in both written and verbal form, across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems (preferably SAP), along with non-financial systems, and billing systems
