Job Description: Accounting and Administration ManagerJob status: Permanent full-time position (37.5h) with flexible schedule

CAB, Centre d’art Battat, is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to support contemporary artists. Its objective is to finance the creation and production of works of art and to present exhibitions by local and international multidisciplinary artists. Located in the heart of Montreal’s Chabanel district, the Centre is one of the first cultural and artistic pillars to be established in this neighborhood, which is undergoing a major identity transformation.
With a vision of sustainable, carbon-neutral architecture, the Centre has taken up residence in an industrial building that will be completely transformed by a major infrastructure project.
A true gathering place, the CAB aims to organize numerous activities and events for the public. The center has a clear mandate to engage with the local and school community of the neighborhood and the city.

· Humanity • Independence of spirit • CollaborationWe are currently looking for an Accounting and Administration Manager to oversee all bookkeeping for the Centre d’art Battat and its foundation, while preparing accurate monthly financial reports. The Manager will ensure timely payments to suppliers and compliance with government reporting requirements, monitor expenses, and collaborate with external accountants to support year-end financial processes.
The Manager will also oversee general administrative functions, with a focus on coordinating the activities and meetings for the Boards of Directors

Your main responsibilities:
- Invoice processing (approval, classification and payment)
- Oversee and reconcile bank accounts while managing cash flow efficiently
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- To ensure a balanced budget, assist in annual budget planning, including revenue forecasting and expense management
- Collaborate on administrative reporting of public grants (federal, provincial, and municipal)
- Ensure adherence to the contractual terms and conditions of suppliers and grantors
- Manage payments and refunds for sales, school and municipal taxes, etc.
- Manage the issuing of receipts for the Foundation and any other administrative or financial needs related to donations and private income
- Develop and implement administrative and accounting procedures and establish efficient information filing systems
- Arrange and manage the convocation of Board members for meetings and official gatherings
- Prepare minutes and resolutions for Board meetings
- Understand and adhere to the general rules governing the Board of Directors
- Any other related tasks
What you’ll bring to the organization:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 5 to 7 years relevant experience
- Experience of 2 years or more with a board of directors, a definite asset
- Experience in an NPO, a definite asset
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of Word
- Knowledge of Quickbooks, an asset
- Highly developed attention to detail, structured and analytical thinking
- Versatility, adaptability and initiative
- High level of personal and professional integrity
- Canadian citizenship or valid work permit
