As an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting complex IT system implementation projects to modernize corporate systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). In addition to technical project management expertise, this position requires a blend of business analysis and business processes knowledge, combined with strong interpersonal and analytical skills. You will provide project leadership throughout all phases of IT system implementation projects and support the development of briefing materials and presentations for both internal and external project stakeholders.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business Administration, Information Technology or in a related discipline to the position.EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in the field of technical project or program management in each of the following areas:
- Planning, implementing and delivering large complex IT projects.
- Change management – supporting organizations through system implementation and adoption.
- Providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership through consultation and consensus building.
KNOWLEDGE
- Of project, program and change management theories, principles, tools and best practices.
- Of Information Technology systems and development methodologies.
- Of business processes and business analysis practices.
ABILITIES
- To analyze and resolve complex, cross-system, cross-organizational issues, impacts and risks.
- To document and communicate with clarity the project deliverables, expectations as well as roles and responsibilities.
- To negotiate and resolve disputes and manage competing priorities.
- To provide leadership in project management across IT projects, promoting consistent and efficient practices.

ASSETS
- Knowledge of corporate applications such as MS Dynamics AX, Microsoft D365 or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Enterprise Asset Management systems and HR Information Systems such as PeopleSoft.
- Experience in the federal government managing large IT system implementation projects.
- Experience tendering projects and evaluating bids.
- Knowledge of financial operations, asset management and general business administration.
- Experience using Project Management tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB.
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
- The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
