About the Opportunity
- Monitor all ongoing operational and financial compliance audits.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting on the progress of all on-going audits.
- Ensure the timely delivery of Prepared by Client (PBC) requests to auditors, including the preparation and submission of working papers and schedules for year-end audits.
- Gather supporting documentation (especially payroll related) for auditor-selected samples.
- Assisted with yearly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring supporting schedules matched the underlying account balances.
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the external auditors and internal teams.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting.
About You
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or close to finish.
- 3+ years’ experience in an audit firm.
- Foundational knowledge and experience using Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Foundational knowledge of Canadian payroll.
- Worked on payroll audit engagements will be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
