Job Description: Job Summary:Responsible for interactions related to the monitoring, investigation and resolution of product or process quality concerns. Responsible for the implementation of the quality assurance program.Key Responsibilities and Duties:● Conduct product inspections in assembly and or primaries departments● Prepare inspection reports and present inspection results● Investigate non-conformances and determine disposition of non-conforming/defective parts or components; including tagging, report writing/documenting and return/cost recovery, and root cause.● Liaise with suppliers, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, service, purchasing and shop floor staff to develop action plans for non-conforming parts/processes● Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Director● Technologist Diploma/Certificate in Quality Assurance or Quality Control preferred.● Good computer skills● Good written and verbal communication skills● Minimum 2 years practical shop floor experience● Forklift experience● Strong problem solving abilities and an attention to details.● General knowledge of blue print reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing● Good time management and organizational skills.● Experience with ISO 9000 certification● General knowledge of shop floor safety rules and regulationsWorking Conditions:● 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday● Work periods in shop and in the office
