Job Description: Description :Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO) is hiring a Plant Shift Supervisor on a permanent basis on our Agri Products team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Are you a strong leader with experience working in a safety-sensitive production environment?   • Lead a team to carry out the company’s daily and weekly production requirements. This includes setting daily goals, and directing the productivity, quality, and safety of plant employees.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Ensure employee training is current and documented, providing constructive feedback and coaching on employee productivity.
  • Maintain timekeeping, personnel records, standard operating procedures, and production reporting (running totals, per shift work reports, production recaps, etc.).
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring IPCO policies (e.g. safety, harassment, workplace violence) are followed and ongoing training and follow up is performed.
  • Conduct audits and investigations on safety and quality by utilizing root cause analysis. Ensure all quality related activities are carried out and that there is adherence to all legal and company policies and procedures.

Who you’ll work with:You will oversee the workflow and safe action of up to 30 in-scope team members.   • Have a minimum grade 12 education.
  • Have a 5+ years of supervisory experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Have a Lean/Operational Excellence certificate (A minimum of one of the following: Yellow belt, Green belt, 5S management, root cause analysis) from a recognized source accrediting body. Or a minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing those methodologies. Certificate in supervision or related field an asset.
  • Have prior experience working with chemicals, inventory management systems, and workforce management software.
  • Are experienced with training in the following areas (on site): TDG, WHMIS, and First Aid Level II. Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health Act and ISO 9001 knowledge are assets.

From the successful candidate’s start date until the end of December, they will work Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
