Do you like working on industry-defining projects that move the needle?We are looking for a Software Engineer to ship excellent code, create fault tolerant systems, and to drive operational excellence at high scale.We have a rich roadmap including launching new features in Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). We are establishing a renewed vision for the team that includes adopting Generative AI to excite our customers with unique experiences that make it easy for them to use EKS. We are looking for engineers who are excited to build cool new tech and taking on AWS-size scaling challenges.Key job responsibilities
As a member of the EKS Cluster XP team, you will build APIs that scale for a tier-1 service like EKS. It’s typical of our services to see more than 1000TPS. You’ll work backwards from customers and create experiences targeting DevOps engineers, IT professionals, end users, and application developers. You’ll architect features that help EKS overcome scaling cliffs in our dependencies.Our stack is entirely Serverless. You’ll work on the cutting edge of technologies in a team that supports the overall well-being of the engineer, actively prioritizes quality of life, and delight customers.Additionally you will get to work with exceptional team members and be directly involved in growing and mentoring junior engineers on the team. We own 2 open source projects that you’ll contribute to.About the team
As a member of EKS, you will join a team working on greenfield projects, and make it easier for customers to run workloads and manage one or one hundred EKS clusters.Additionally you will get to work with exceptional team members and be directly involved in growing and mentoring junior engineers on the team.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
– 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
