Title of the Job: Design Technician (Relocation To Winnipeg)

Job Description: Description:Our client is looking for a Drafter/Designer to work on a variety of current and upcoming projects adn to help build out the project delivery capability of the Winnipeg office. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent working experience with Microstation 3D and AutoCad. The designer/drafter can come from a Electrical, Civil or Mechanical background. The ideal candidate will be working on line design projects up to 230KV. The candidate will be expected to know how to compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. They will be expected to be able to produce single diagrams and 3D models using Microstation from engineering notes, specifications and rough sketches to then formalized into working drawings.Job Qualifications:

• Min. 5 years of industry exp. (ideally looking for an intermediate but will look at someone that can be trained – no drafter on hand in the Winnipeg office)
• Lines Exp. or linear design exposure
• MicroStation 3d exp. / AutoCad Exp.
• Needs to be able to do Modelling
• College technical degree certificate
• Strictly Drafting exp.
• 2D is okay (taking 3D cad models and transposing them into MicroStation 3D or autoCad 3D) usually working with 3D models and then breaking them down into 2D models. They built a MicroStation inventory for their library that this person uses)

NICE TO HAVE:

• Transmission line exp.
• Electrical back ground
• Could entertain a Jr. that would be trained.
