At Event Temple, we believe in helping people of great character thrive and we are on the mission to create the future of sales and catering, and be the most respected and innovative solution for hotels around the world.About The Role:Our Head of Sales (Outbound) will build + run the outbound sales team to generate demos from proactive sales efforts for the North American market (our current sales team is inbound by contrast).What You’ll Do Day To Day:

  • Recruit, hire, manage and retain a world class outbound sales team in North America
  • Build an accretive Outbound Sales Team that generates 3-5X OTE predictably
  • Design, implement and manage sales activity sequences that produce predictable results (not cold email please)
  • Ensure Outbound Sales Team are logging and achieving their activity goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Work with Head of Sales (Inbound) and Inbound Sales team to ensure we only book high quality demos that generate positive sales results while positioning our brand as a trusted leader in the market
  • Work with marketing and customer success teams to find warm introductions to target list via associations, trade shows, customers, webinars, referrals, partners, consultants etc.)
  • Work with founding team to inform product roadmap to ensure we hit our sales targets
  • Define regions and key targets/accounts for each Outbound Sales Team member
  • Document and bring key learnings to the Founding team and also the Outbound Sales Team (competitors, playbook, product market fit, etc)
  • Create a predictable, documented system for Outbound Sales Team including training, activity goals, competitor analysis, market learnings, key learnings etc.
  • Set a regular meeting cadence with your team and other stakeholders to ensure we are “on pace” for our goals, sharing learnings and working collaboratively across departments

The Team You Will Build:

  • Hire Outbound Sales Representatives in North America with
  • Experience as a Director of Sales or Group Sales Manager in a hotel (large conference or city center hotel)
  • A background prospecting / business development
  • Experience with Sales and Catering software
  • These teams will be owning various regions and will most likely be remote
  • The team will eventually be segmented into small accounts (1-10 hotels), mid-sized groups (11-30 hotels) and large groups (30+ hotels)

Critical Metrics:

  • Ability to break even on the outbound program each month within 6 months
  • Hire a 2 person BDR team within 6 months with a hotel sales background that meet our culture criteria as well as being sales top-performers
  • Ability to build a 2 person outbound sales team that generates 2X OTE from outbound each month within 12 months
  • Build rapport, generate trust and goodwill with our target market

Location: Vancouver, CanadaKey responsibilities

  • Create a predictable and scalable growth channel for Event Temple
  • Build and manage an outbound sales team that goes out and hunts for new business
  • Grow leads, demos and sales from outbound sales predictably that the inbound team will close and turn into revenue

QualificationsMinimum

  • Background in outbound sales and business development
  • Must have managed an Outbound Sales Team at the Director Level (at least 2 years)
  • At least 5 years of B2B SaaS experience

Preferred/Desired

  • Should be familiar with predictable revenue methodology/outbound sales (BDR/AE model)
  • Should also be familiar with social selling, cold-calling, event-based sales, trade shows, referral-based sales, partner-based sales, channel-sales and more
  • Must be able to hunt and close deals yourself
  • Should have managed Senior BDRs in the past selling into mid-market/enterprise as well as transactional reps
  • Should have prospected (and ideally sold) deals in the $5000-$100,000 range ($100,000 deals made up of 20 x $5000 deals)

Bonus:

  • Familiarity with Hubspot
  • If you’ve managed an Inbound Team as well
  • Experience with Enterprise Sales
  • Familiarity with Account-Based Marketing
