Job Description: Permanent Full TimeCanada Life has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist, Pharmaceutical Relations. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Pharmaceutical Relations and work closely with them to shape the analytical and operational functions of the Pharmaceutical Relations team. They will support data-driven decision-making and generate valuable insights to inform activities related to drug product listing agreements. Product listing agreements are essential to reducing drug costs while ensuring plan members have access to valuable treatment options and are a key component of the overall Canada Life prescription drug strategy.What you will do:The Senior Specialist, Pharmaceutical Relations is responsible for support and execution of the Canada Life PLA strategy as well as managing day to day PLA related activities.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage PLA operational activities including leading implementations, system setup, invoicing, dispute resolution, and other elements such as monitoring confidentiality requirements and assisting with client reporting
  • Foster productive working relationships with internal operations teams, clinical experts, clients, and other partners
  • In close collaboration with the Drug Strategy Team, liaise with experts across the organization to collect and synthesize relevant data for opportunity analysis and product listing agreement discussions
  • Coordinate and enhance regular reporting on program metrics to support strategic planning
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support data stewardship and risk management strategies relevant to the program
  • Champion continuous improvement of PLA systems and standards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant systems and best practices
  • Provide support to field staff, advisors, and clients where appropriate

What you will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (business analysis, project management, healthcare, etc.). A combination of education and experience may also be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field or role
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Ability to effectively synthesize data for verbal and visual communication
  • Proven organization, planning and risk management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in group benefits or pharmaceutical analysis an asset

Reliability Status security clearance – this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website .The base salary for this position is between $51,400-$85,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
