The Account Executive at Winnipeg Free Press plays a vital role in driving advertising sales and fostering long-lasting relationships with customers. This position involves promoting and selling advertising space for a wide range of print and digital solutions. The Executive will engage with both existing and potential advertisers, develop advertising strategies, and contribute to the growth of advertising revenues across various platforms. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with strong client relationship-building skills.   • Selling advertising space to both existing and potential advertisers, enhancing sales through effective strategies.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, acting as a liaison between customers, credit, and production departments.
  • Maintaining regular customer contact through visits and daily phone interactions.
  • Collaborating with the creative services team to design advertising campaigns and create tailored sales presentations.
  • Managing customer accounts, including billing and ad placement.
  • Conducting transactions with professionalism and integrity.
  • Growing sales with current customers and prospect new ones.
  • Performing regular revenue analysis.
  • Attending client functions as needed.

You and Your Experience:

  • 3-5 years of advertising sales experience or related skills.
  • Proficiency in digital advertising, including social media (preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written presentation abilities.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing/Sales or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong computer skills and internet proficiency.
  • Effective team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven track record in prospecting, lead generation, and key account development.
