  • Manage full-cycle procurement activities, from the initiation of purchase requests to contract closeout.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for IT purchases, Facilities portfolios, Marketing needs, and EPL team events.
  • Establish, negotiate, and maintain contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and public procurement laws.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any disputes to ensure contract terms and conditions are met.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing requirements and coordinate contract development.
  • Ensure effective vendor relations and maintain clear, ongoing communication with suppliers to manage expectations and performance.
  • Handle contract administration tasks, including reviewing terms, addressing compliance issues, and managing contract closeouts.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Utilize procurement systems (e.g., SAP ECC, ARIBA, HANA) to manage purchasing workflows and track contract performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, trade laws, and procurement best practices to ensure compliance and effective sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a related university degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar field. Equivalencies may be considered for those with a Supply Management Training (SMT) diploma from the SCMA or a CPPB certification from the UPPCC.
  • Currently working towards or holding a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in a corporate, centralized purchasing environment.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and trade laws is an asset.
  • Proficient with procurement software such as SAP ECC, ARIBA, and HANA.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor relations and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to resolve disputes efficiently and ensure contractual obligations are met in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with IT procurement, facilities management, and marketing services purchasing is a plus.
