Senior Bookkeeper part time – Staffmax

Title of the Job: Senior Bookkeeper part time

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Job Description: Staffmax is currently assisting our St. James client with the hiring of a Senior Bookkeeper with 5+ years of experience.
This role will encompass several businesses owned by the company. It is an in-office 1-2 day per week after training permanent role with a group of long term staff assisting as needed and training is provided.

• Pay $70 or higher per hour

Duties include:Enter all deposits from the main and VLT bank statements

• Deposits made at the bank
• ATM deposits
• Credit card and debit deposits
• ATM commission

Enter all withdrawals from the bank statement. Cheques are printed with QuickBooks. All other withdrawals need to be manual entered. They include but are not limited to:

• Credit card and debit refunds
• City of Winnipeg Property Tax
• Car lease
• Credit card payments
• VLT payments
• WCL payments
• Credit card/debit fees
• Payworks reports

Reconcile Balance sheet accounts before taxes are paidEnsure daily sales for the main and VLT accounts are accurate and have been entered daily.Reconcile Accommodation tax by the 15th of every month.PST due 18th of the month. Calculate, file and pay online with Taxcess and enter QB’sPayworks:

• enter benefits for employees if there are changes.
• employee advances
• run reports and enter into QB’s
• make any changes manual for bonus’ or any other adjustments for holiday pay, etc

Once all statements are reconciled, reports are run for GST and filed.Audit the front desk for discrepancies. Have not had time to complete this task for some timeOverseeing of AP and Daily sales. Financial analysis of statements completed to assure accuracy of data entry. Comparisons are with prior month and prior year.Yearly City of Winnipeg expense and revenue formsSpecial projects IE: Grant applications, etcPrepare year end for the accountantCompany:Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting,
