We operate from facilities located on the South Shore of Montreal at Saint-Hubert Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).We provide line and scheduled maintenance services, avionics modifications, and research and development services for business aircraft and large carriers. We also offer 24/7 “Aircraft on Ground” (AOG) services to help clients meet on-time departure obligations and minimize downtime.Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. The company started with a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation Group operates a fleet of 15 aircraft and has a team of 280 employees.Role and ContextThe Accounting Technician is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s financial operations. They play a key role in recording accounting transactions, performing bank reconciliations, managing inventory, and tracking billing. The technician also participates in preparing monthly financial statements, managing work-in-progress, and closing the books at month-end. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.Key responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.
  • Record and track work-in-progress to ensure accurate cost and revenue allocation.
  • Prepare and issue monthly invoices to clients.
  • Manage inventory movements and valuation to ensure accurate accounting of goods.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and closure of accounting processes at month-end.
  • Collaborate in the production of financial reports to support management’s decision-making.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external accounting audits.
  • Review and adjust accounting entries as needed.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth payment and collection processes.

Specific job requirements

  • Diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting technician role, an asset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage).
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in bank reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
  • Understanding of accounting principles related to work-in-progress and inventory management.
  • Experience in month-end management and financial report preparation.
  • Fluency in French is required for this position.
