Job Description: Your Opportunity:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced neuropsychologist to join our dynamic senior’s health clinic team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and diagnostic services to our geriatric population (65+), including conducting evaluations, supervising a psychometrist, preparing reports, and providing feedback to patients and families. There may be future opportunities to contribute to the development and delivery of psycho educational programs and brief therapy. Outpatient referrals come from the Rockyview Hospital and Bridgeland Seniors’ Health Outpatient Clinics. The position involves provision of client care, consultation to Seniors’ Health Outpatient Clinic staff, participation in staff development, orientation of new staff and students to the service, and supervision of practicum students and pre-doctoral residents.Description:As a Psychologist II, you will provide advanced clinical services (including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention), consultation and education to the interprofessional team and patients/families, and/or provides clinical leadership and coordination in an assigned program area. This is an advanced level psychology position that will allow you to work with or within teams to provide and inform services for patients with complex and multi-dimensional medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental and/or instrumental needs. You will consult, collaborate, and enact initiatives to ensure that practices are evidence based and in alignment with psychology standards of practice and code of ethics, as well as policy, legislation and regulations. You will be expected to lead, facilitate and/or participate in program, policy, and procedure development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement and evaluation, and/or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s). You may provide supervision to doctoral level psychology residents, master’s level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists and other team members.

Required Qualifications:Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Additional Required Qualifications:One year full-time supervised pre-doctoral residency from a CPA or APA accredited program with experience in neuropsychological diagnosis and assessment in a clinical setting. One year experience with a geriatric population (65+). Proficiency in neuropsychological assessment, program development and evaluation, and knowledge of applied research. Experience working in a collaborative, consultative manner with a varied interdisciplinary team preferred. The ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with patients, caregivers, interdisciplinary team members and other colleagues. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants whose residency and/or post-doctoral residencies have been in geriatric neuropsychology in a geriatric setting.
