We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Advisor with a strong background in Client mainframes and the LINC programming language to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the potential for extensions. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience working within the federal government and leading mainframe migrations, lift & shifts, and roadmap development. The ideal candidate will also have experience leading internal groups and advising and engaging with customers to drive successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Mainframe Expertise:

• Provide technical leadership and advisory services for projects involving Client mainframes and the LINC programming language.
• Lead and support migration efforts, including lift & shift strategies and roadmap development for mainframe systems.
• Oversee and manage mainframe modernization projects, ensuring alignment with government standards and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with key stakeholders within the federal government to gather requirements, present solutions, and provide expert advice on mainframe-related initiatives.
• Facilitate regular meetings with clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders in the National Capital Region to ensure project alignment and progress.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead internal groups, providing direction and support to ensure successful project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on project milestones, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
• Advise customers on best practices for mainframe management, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption during migrations.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working with Client mainframes and the LINC programming language within a federal government context.
• Proven track record in managing and executing mainframe migrations, including lift & shift strategies and roadmap development.
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading internal teams and advising senior stakeholders.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
• Must possess federal government security clearance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness and ability to meet with stakeholders in the National Capital Region as required.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 12 months with potential for extensions.
• Location: National Capital Region, with on-site meetings required.
