Job Description: Role: Java DeveloperLocation: Calgary, AB (Onsite/Hybrid)Type: ContractPosition Description:The candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant IT experience, preferably in Financial Services or Wealth Management organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with minimal supervision.Skills Required
- Strong understanding of Java technology (Core Java, J2EE)
- Knowledge of open-source frameworks: Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate.
- RDBMS (Well versed with SQL, Stored Procs etc.)
- JSON, XML Schemas
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
- Candidate will be required to work geographically dispersed teams
Good to have skills:
- REST APIs, Microservices
- Knowledge of MongoDB
- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python)
- Any of Autosys, Cron Job, Airflow concepts
- Messaging technologies Kafka or MA
