Job Description: Our client is a network whose mandate is to improve patient experience in oncology. Their team is developing a sustainability model to incorporate patient reported outcomes into routine clinical care. They are currently seeking a Site Lead/Project Coordinator to provide general project coordination as well as education and training of health care providers (HCPs). This position will report to the Oncology Program manager. The role is highly rewarding, moreover it involves the incumbent in a program that touches the hearts of patients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Coordinate project/program activities, including working with sponsors, steering committees, and project teams to operationalize and monitor tasks, milestones and expenses;
o Provide support, training and guidance to health care professionals and patients in using the Distress Screening program;
o Identify areas for improvement by assessing patient/clinician feedback and process challenges;
o Write and edit presentations, educational tools and clinical decision aids through information gathering and the synthesis of existing materials;
o Prepare reports to present to different committees such as the QI (Quality Improvement) committee of the oncology clinic;
o Prepare response trajectories and other indicators in accordance with the MSSS Action Plan in Cancerology on the Patient Reported Outcomes Measures;
o Assist in the development and monitoring of performance indicators, in conjunction with internal departments including Informatics and other clinical programs.
o Conduct guideline scans, literature reviews and environmental scans using the Internet, MEDLINE, and other bibliographic databases;
o Prepare posters and abstracts for publication in collaboration with investigators and authors, and clinical teams;
o Perform cross-functional tasks and/or other duties within the Division of Clinical Programs and Quality Initiatives, as required
o Supports clinical team on-site for PROs activities; When on the unit refers to assistant head nurse frequently, provides support to team ensuring the PROs systems are functional, communicates frequently with team /PROs systems users assist in coordinating the PROs procedures as needed.
o Prepares PROs report as needed, shares statistical data of PROsQUALIFICATIONS
o Excellent communication
o Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (health sciences, health services research, health administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
o Experience with MS Access, Visio, and Sharepoint is an asset
o Moderate data analysis and data interpretation capabilities
o Statistical analysis through SAS, SPSS, R, etc. is an asset
Highly organized and detail-oriented
o Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
o Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team
o Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
o Demonstrated project coordination experience
o Knowledge and experience in conducting literature searches, environmental scans and surveys
o Ability to translate information into a convincing written argument or business case
o Previous experience in a health care environment preferred
