You will be part of growing a data-driven product development team striving to transform OMERS employees, members, employers and stakeholders’ experiences through the deployment of high-quality data products and visualizations. We are striving to provide information and actionable insights to improve experiences for members, stakeholders, employers and OMERS teams.The Pensions Data Team is an exciting team focused on providing real value through high-quality information and actionable data-driven insights. We’re excited for the opportunity to have highly driven and impactful talent join our team!As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Maximize the product value of analytics and reporting through leveraging and understanding user feedback, stakeholder opportunities and the technology landscapeEngaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and refine feature requirementsClearly expressing requirements through documentation of user stories and epicsPlan and prioritize the product backlog items to best achieve goalsManage product design, dependencies and trade-offs and ability to resolve cross-team interdependenciesEnsure work is focused to deliver maximum valueClear and comprehensive communication with the agile team regarding feature work, goals and deliverablesDrive iteration and release plans, with a focused attention to work progress in sprint and to addressing issues during sprintsCommunicate and promote product release plans, and set expectations for the delivery of new features and functionalityParticipate in close collaboration with Product Managers, Agile Development Leads, Designers, DevOps, QAs, Technical Leads and our Technical Development Squads in order to guide development of our product visionMaintaining a knowledge of agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniquesTo succeed in this role:You are a self-starter who uses sharp analytical and innovative problem-solving skills to recommend business solutions to drive results and solve problemsYou have passion for working with people, empathy and a knack for building great relationships with your colleaguesYou have outstanding communication, with the ability to effectively interpret ideas and information, and present to diverse audiencesYou are adaptable to change, have the ability to manage multiple concurrent demands and make effective judgments as to prioritiesExperience in data analytics and reporting, data warehousing and/or business intelligence3+ years of experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile (Scrum) environment and/or Actuarial Sciences, Financial Services and Banking, or PensionsExperience using JIRA or other user story and task management toolExperience using Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization softwareExperience in SQL and ExcelWe believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members.
