Job Description: The Opportunity:Under Sunwing , we are looking for a Crew Scheduler to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Crew Scheduler you will be responsible for ensuring all pairings are staffed safely and efficiently in a timely fashion while complying with all government regulations and collective agreements and will also provide the crew with a continuously high level of customer service. The position reports to the Manager, Crew Scheduling and will be located in Toronto, ON.What You’ll Do:Monitor and evaluate crew schedule legalities and amend, as necessary.
Ensure legal and timely staffing of all flights in relation to the government regulations and the Sunwing working conditions
Provide effective and timely communication with all Crew Members as it relates to schedule changes, flight assignments, and delays.
Incorporate safety guidelines and policies into all functions of the position.
Liaise with the applicable training department to notify of disruptions
Work with your team to solve arising operational issues as quickly as possible.
Apply and relay information regarding the application of Crew Agreements and Regulations.
Coordinate scheduling activities to achieve on time operational performance in concert with other operational areas
Provide feedback for process change for continuous improvement for Crew Scheduling activities.
Other duties as requiredWhat You’ll Need:Must be able to work in office (located near Pearson Airport)
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
Flexible schedule; Days and nights, rotational shift work (4 days on, 4 days off)
Customer Service experience required.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills(written & verbal);
Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, high pressure, environment and work with different personality types
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
