Job Description: MicrobiologistMain FunctionsYou will report directly to the supervisor of the Microbiology laboratory. You will carry out the various activities related to the microbiology laboratory which includes the Lallemand Culture Collection.The main functions associated with this position are:

• Prepare and send pure culture strains (yeast, bacteria, fungus) to different plants and collaborators;
• Characterization and analyzes strains (mainly yeast);
• Participate in collecting and preserving data on new strains to be added in collection;
• Analyze microbiological yeast (contaminants, viability, etc.);
• Participate in the development and revision of laboratory procedures;
• Prepare materials and culture media for analysis;
• Contribute to the proper functioning of the laboratory;
• Participate to other tasks that may be assigned.

• Must be able to follow existing standard protocols and develop / optimize new protocols
• Experience in microbiology laboratory and good laboratory practices
• Bachelor degree in microbiology (or equivalent)
• Excellent written and spoken skills in French and English
