Level 1 IT Technician – Fed IT

Title of the Job: Level 1 IT Technician

Location: Montreal, QC

Job Description: I’m looking for a level 1 IT technician for one of our customers, located on the island of Montreal. This is a permanent, on-site position. The salary offered is $50,000 – based on a 35-hour week.
Your duties will include :

• Install, configure and maintain printers and photocopiers according to established procedures.
• Respond to user requests for assistance, whether in person at the service desk or via remote support tools, providing the appropriate information.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting within the limits of his/her competence
• Clean, maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment
• Operate various peripherals according to specific instructions
• Manage and regularly update the equipment inventory
• Perform all tasks relating to the receipt, storage, distribution and delivery of goods
• Loan computer hardware and equipment, and ensure their return
• Check goods received against purchase orders

• DEP in computer support
• At least one year’s relevant experience
• Knowledge of network environment, Microsoft applications and other software
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet software
