The role requires a proactive approach to decision-making, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage relationships and drive continuous improvement. The Senior Analyst ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, financial activities are managed accurately, and business processes are continuously enhanced to meet changing priorities and operational goals. The incumbent will be responsible for financial management activities including forecasting, preparation and tracking of budgets, management reporting, project reporting, business case reviews, month end, and other ad-hoc assignments.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How You’ll SucceedFinancial management: Work with internal business partners to manage base and project budgets. Review forecasts, actuals, and variances monthly. Provide input to fiscal planning process. Review business cases and provide advisory to project leads, resource managers and executive audiences as needed. Manage month end close activities.Reporting: Prepare regular portfolio reports, spend analysis reports, and dashboard reporting in Tableau. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting. You will interact with the Finance department on a regular basis, for the purpose of ensuring financials are accurate and polices are adhered to. Tableau dashboards are updated monthly and shared with executive audiences.Communication – You are highly skilled at both written and oral communication. You can effectively articulate issues / recommendations via your analyses. You are skillful using Microsoft’s suite of products.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in: Problem Solving with knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems. You also have experience in Relationship Management with an ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers. Tableau experience is required as dashboards are managed in Tableau servers.
