Product Manager – CAE

Title of the Job: Product Manager

Location: Montreal, QC

Job Description: About This RoleReporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, the candidate will oversee and manage all products within a specific product line, including both steady-state productions and new product developments.Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the product-line profitability, reporting and monitoring across the entire lifecycle of the product.
• Responsible for developing detailed product roadmap, business case and product requirements.
• Act as the first point of reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with product teams, customer support, sales and Product Change Control Board on product evolution.
• Define technology insertion roadmap for specific platforms related to a specific product line.
• Provide input in business cases regarding specific product lines.
• Oversees the execution for specific platforms through interactions with product teams (engineering, operations, finance) on product changes.
• Interface with customer support on product evolution.
• Interface with sales support for standard presentations, campaign support, customer meetings.
• Develop, execute and manage pricing strategies for assigned categories that allow CAE to be competitive while maintain the maximum product gross margins.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree with 5-8 years of relevant working experience in product management.
• Software development / technical background strongly preferred, but not required
• Experience in managing a cost center, budget or P&L, in excess of $1M
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Effective project planning and project management skills
• Ability to lead and work effectively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Experience in developing product strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to executive management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Ability to coach and provide guidance.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Major pluses:

• o Strong knowledge of various simulators.
• o Customer focused.
• o Result oriented.
