Focuses on debates and empirical studies on global production networks (GPNs), and associated issues such as offshoring, outsourcing, and upgrading. Blends analysis of both theory and practice of business firms and regional development. Seeks to develop an in-depth understanding of the key actors driving contemporary global economic transformation, within the ‘transnational space’ constituted and structured by transnational firms, state institutions, and ideologies.Estimate of course enrollment: 60Estimate of TA Support: 60Class Schedule: Mondays, 5:00 to 7:00pmSessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 – April 30, 2025Salary: Sessional Lecturer I – $9,457.89. Sessional Lecturer I Long-term – $9,930.79. Sessional Lecturer II – $10,121.76. Sessional Lecturer II Long-term – $10,326.61; Sessional Lecturer III – $10,362.76. Knowledge of the course topics is required.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience teaching preferred.
