Approximately 70% of its audience is between the ages of 18 to 40.Job DescriptionAbout the Team: Reporting to the Casting Director, the Hair and Makeup Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing a cohesive beauty direction that reflects our brand identity and visual language. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Art Direction team to create and maintain a consistent beauty direction across the production, contributing to an elevated customer experience. Additionally, this role involves training and coaching on-set teams to accurately reproduce the beauty looks, ensuring consistency and high standards across all productions.Why Join Us:

• Work closely with the Casting and Art Direction teams to shape beauty direction for new models and special launches.
• Develop and update beauty direction guidelines and processes to keep in sync with SSENSE’s art direction.
• Oversee daily hair and makeup during shoots to ensure the team is on track and delivering high-quality results that align with studio goals.
• Support the team in executing everything from simple to complex beauty directions while staying true to the Art Direction briefs.
• Mentor and guide Hair & Makeup staff through the editing process to ensure they follow the established guidelines.

QualificationsHow To Excel In This Role:

• Understand the brand identity, curate thoughtful references and create comprehensive reference boards to build a strong visual narrative
• Translate visuals into techniques and adapt for production efficiency
• Ability to evaluate models suitability, develop a look, and adapt for individual models.
• Ability to review completed work with a critical eye and refine where necessary.
