Job Description: The Opportunity:
Our client, an international mining company, is looking for a Mine Geologist to join their team in Northern Ontario.The Mine Geologist is responsible for the efficient completion of day-to-day activities assigned by the Mine and Technical Services Department. The successful candidate must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge and dedication to safety, production methods and equipment care. Other duties will be assigned as per operational needs.What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist with the implementation and adherence to a grade control plan for the processing of ore body.
• Assist with data collection, geological modelling, and resource estimations.
• Map underground development and track ore movement.
• Track and report on ore grades.
• Log drill core as required.
• Work cooperatively with other mine departments according to mine production plans.
• Carry out other non-core duties as requested by Senior Production Geologist

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• A Bachelor of Science in Geology / Geoscience / Earth science or equivalent is required and must be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Geologist in Ontario.
• Computer skills including MSOffice Suite is required and proficiency in computer systems related to this role and level of work (AutoCAD/Amine, DataMine, and other related programs) would be an asset.
• Underground Common Core accreditation would be an asset.
• Past underground experience will be heavily valued.
• Valid driver’s license
• Carry out routine reporting and administrative duties as required.
