Job Description: Workforce Inc. is currently seeking Mill Labourers to assist our client located 400km west of Timmins. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Mill Labourer is responsible for assisting the Crushing Plant Operator in the operation of all crushing plant equipment, crushing plant area, housekeeping, and other labour related duties. Responsibilities:
- Start-up operation, routine monitoring and inspection, and shutdown of all crushing plant equipment, whenever the Crusher Plan Operator is unavailable
- Adjust and check crusher setting as prescribed
- Perform visual inspections of the crushing equipment and fine ore bin level
- Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyor components
- Adjust rate of plant feed and balance between crushers to avoid equipment overload
- Verify lubrication of crushing equipment
- Remove tramp iron and wood from the jaw crusher feed
- Clean the metal recovery system and unblock equipment when necessary
- Verification of conveyor chute and operation of dust removal systems
- Operate mobile equipment to supply the mill with reagents, grinding media etc.
- Cleanups conveyors ore spillage at Mill including shoveling out conveyors
- Cleaning of jaw crusher grease during day-shift
- Maintain plant housekeeping
Requirements:
- Previous work experience in a mining or industrial work environment is preferred
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
- Must have a Driver’s Licence and own reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and have a clear criminal record
Schedule: Remote camp, 7 days on, 7 days off, alternating day and night shift, 12-hour shiftsPay Rate: $30.00/hourWe thank you for your interest.
