You take interest in anticipating future trends and strive to keep us at the forefront of broadcast technology – all to ensure we can deliver our programming to our audiences how, when and where they want it.Your challengeAs a Network Presentation Coordinator (Digital/Streaming), you will be responsible for the coordination and presentation of live streaming and on-demand content on CBC and partner platforms, with a focus on FAST channels and live specials.In this role, you will direct the activities of other employees in the coordination and presentation of program elements required by the program schedule. Creative problem solving may be required in dealing with operating problems where production requirements are clear. You will often work under pressure given time constraints, sometimes independently requiring judgment and initiative.Key Tasks:

  • Coordinates presentation of live programming for digital platforms.
  • Communicates with production and others providing specialized assistance regarding capacity and presentation requirements. Attends meetings as required.
  • Maintains and/or reviews programming schedules, program metadata and associated
  • documentation.
  • Creates live streaming events and checks links.
  • Checks routing and availability of programming in accordance with schedules and established procedures. Advises responsible persons of any irregularities.
  • Ensures adherence to approved standards of closed captioning and other content considerations, and takes appropriate action if quality does not meet those standards.
  • In the absence of supervisory or management personnel, assists Presentation personnel in solving problems.
  • Reports errors, faults or deviations.
  • Communicates requirements with Streaming Technicians and maintains supporting documentation.
  • Carries out partner VOD delivery as required.
  • Monitors feeds and dashboards.
  • Assists with data gathering of live streams VOD content.
  • Advises on the needs and requirements of Presentation facilities and personnel.
  • Trains new staff and advises management on their progress.
  • Performs all or part of the function or duties of an equivalent or lower classification.

Objective Criteria:

  • Knowledge gained through relevant courses or equivalent industry experience
  • Three years directly related experience including one year at the level of a Presentation Technician
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of television and/or digital program presentation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in a shift rotation that includes weekends, with the possibility of overtime
