This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.Responsibilities:Design integrated municipal roadway, provincial highway, transit facilities and active transportation facilities projects for clients in the province and for other major municipalities in the provinceAssist project managers in delivering large projects to our clientsDirect, organize and control work to administer small to medium size contractsPerform document control. Assist in project financial setup and maintenanceWork with the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedulesUse project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects schedulesProvide direction to engineering staff in the preparation of designs, design drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications and cost estimates for municipal road and highway engineering workPrepare correspondence, engineering reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutesAbility to lead a team of professionals on projects, as well as liaise with clients and sub-consultantsProvide project guidance and mentoring for junior staffProvide Quality Management reviews by ensuring corporate policies are followed and documentedQualifications:​Minimum 6 years of experience in the transportation design engineering field preferably with local experience in the consulting industryP.Eng designation or ability to registerKnowledge of applicable design standardsOutstanding communication, documentation and proposal writing skillsPast experience in contract administration is an assetJob Type: RegularJob Profile: For internal use Transportation Civil Engineering IVMorrison Hershfield, now Stantec is committed to having an inclusive and diverse workforce, with recruitment free of discrimination, ensuring all candidates are given a fair opportunity for employment.
