Job Description: Based in Surrey, BC, a reputable Civil Construction company is adding a CPA designated, Senior Financial Business Analyst to oversee the key development of business systems and financial processes. and FP&A. Reporting to the CFO, this role will be the second in command in the Finance team and working alongside the Project management teams.In this role, you will have the confidence and skills to identify and implement, modify, and/or design new reporting tools – such as Power BI, Jet Reports, or Tableau systems to improve dashboarding and real-time access to information to move the business forward.This is your opportunity to roll up your sleeves to take on challenges, collaborate with leadership, hone your craft, and be recognized by a team of like-minded performers for the exceptional results you deliver. – Financial Planning and Analysis – variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year(s)
-Lead the implementation, design or modification of business systems as required to ensure the ongoing improvement
-Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and build business insights & dashboarding
-Review and prep month-end packages, annual consolidated financial statements, and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
-timely and accurate production of accounting information, effective communication of key monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, operational and treasury insights to the Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
-producing KPI metrics for weekly monitoring of objectives.
-Support the annual budget process, monthly forecasting, and corporate modeling using cloud-based tools,Qualifications
– CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designated, or in final stages of completion
– 3 + years in an Accounting & Finance leadership capacity
-Familiar with ASPE and GAAP
-Proficient in system implementations – ERP, reporting tools
-ERP proficiency in larger tiered systems such as; SAP, Explorer Eclipse, D365, or J Edwards
-Proven expertise in dashboards and reporting tools to improve the Finance function such as: Power BI, Tableau, Jet Reports, Venna
-Advanced Excel – Power pivots and automationSummary
