Job Description: DESCRIPTIONWe’re seeking an experienced manager to lead our AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) team. We are looking for a strong background in cloud infrastructure, software development, team leadership and leading open-source projects. You’ll guide the evolution of AWS CDK, working closely with developers, stakeholders including the open-source community, and customers to shape the future of infrastructure as code.Key job responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers working on AWS CDK
- Collaborate with other teams contributing to AWS CDK
- Engage with customers and the developer community to gather feedbac, prioritize features and define a product roadmap
- Oversee the technical architecture and design decisions for AWS CDK
- Manage projects to on-time delivery
- Participate in escalation manager on-call rotation
- Drive adoption of AWS CDK through advocacy and education initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies in Infrastructure as Code

– 7+ years of engineering experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
– Experience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
– Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
