Hours: 37.5/week – Hybrid work model
Salary: $56,882 – $82,466 per annum (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Closing Date: October 25, 2024Position SummaryThe Education Coordinator will exercise judgment and independence to provide complex administrative assistance in support of education within the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology (DMOH) . Working closely with the Director of Education, physicians, administrative personnel, UofT, and UHN Medical Education, the Education Coordinator will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to: administration of the fellowship program, organization of Grand Rounds, and maintaining various calendar/schedules.The Education Coordinator will build relationships with individuals at various levels across the medical community; act as liaison with various groups of stakeholders; assist the DMOH physicians in program-related duties; assist in the preparation of annual reports; co-ordinate activities associated with the preparation of education initiatives; provide administrative assistance with all aspects of the implementation and maintenance of DMOH Education Office.DutiesProvide information and support to potential, incoming, and current fellowsAssist with the recruitment, onboarding and orientation of fellows, including working with the University of Toronto and UHN Medical EducationTrack the status of applicants and current fellows to ensure necessary requirements and documents are completed in a timely mannerProvide support with meetings/events and organize annual fellow grant competitionPerform routine budgetary support functions including ensuring payroll is processed accurately.Assist with communications and reporting for DMOH Education and ensure website is up to dateHelp organize and facilitate the weekly DMOH Grand RoundsAssist with the maintenance and updating of schedulesPerform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelors degree in healthcare/business administration or recognized equivalent preferred.
- At minimum over 2 and including 3 years of practical and related experience and/or 1 years on-the-job training required.
- Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred.
- Experience working in a health care environment and teaching hospital an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
- Ability to work well under pressure required.
- Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player required.
- Ability to perform duties in a self-directed manner required.
- Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and standards required.
