As a valued member of FLINT, you’ll leverage your expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing critical electrical components essential to our facilities and operations.FLINT is actively searching for Journeyperson Electricians to join our dynamic team! As a valued member of FLINT, you’ll leverage your expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing critical electrical components essential to our facilities and operations.These temporary positions are located in Cold Lake, starting October 15, 2024, and ending November 21, 2024, with camp accommodations and travel pay. We encourage you to apply if you are a registered Journeyperson Electrician with valid safety certifications!What would you be doing?
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts.
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators.
- Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Does this sound like you?
- Have a Journeyperson Electrician certification.
- Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and WHMIS.
- Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
