Location: Calgary, AB

Job Description: Aplin has partnered with a Calgary business that is looking for a skilled Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their team for a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive payroll experience who can hit the ground running. Immediate availability is required, and we seek someone capable of becoming self-sufficient quickly following a brief onboarding and training period. If you have a proven track record in payroll management and benefits administration, we’d love to hear from you!Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll operations using Dayforce, including year-end processing for 500-1000 employees.
• Administer benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment and management for employees.
• Oversee US payroll processing for 150 salaried employees and support Canadian payroll for 400 salaried employees.
• Prepare and file year-end payroll reports and documentation.
• Assist with the transition from Dayforce to UKG, including training and system implementation support.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires and provide training on internal payroll processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Dayforce payroll software.
• Expertise in year-end payroll processing for large employee groups (500-1000).
• Proven skills in general benefits administration.
• Experience in managing U.S. payroll.
• Experience with Employee Share Programs.
• Knowledge of UKG payroll software.
