Job Description: Senior Accountant – Permanent – 17626About the OpportunityOur client in the Ottawa east area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their fast-paced, growing organization on a permanent, full-time basis. • Full-cycle Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, including accruals and processing and recording of expenses and prepaids
• Processing payments, applying payments to overdue accounts, updating reports as needed
• Preparing bank deposits
• Track and manage pre-authorized payments
• Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
• Process bi-weekly payroll, both union and non-union, including deductions and remittances
• Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger
• Production of Financial Statements, cash flow management
• Providing reporting as needed
• Evaluation of efficiencies, development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Provide guidance and mentorship junior accounting staff
• Assisting with Month End close

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:

• Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
• 3+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
• Experience with Yardi software
• Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (English mandatory)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
