Apply now!What will your typical day look like?As a Financial Analyst, Finance & Accounting, you will be involved in various aspects of the financial reporting close process (including preparing and reviewing journal entries, preparing supporting analysis, etc.). You will have the opportunity to provide meaningful financial analysis to be used in decision making, to perform balance sheet and other financial operational reconciliations, and to build relationships with key business and Finance stakeholders. You will also work on exciting projects, such as building data driven insight models and redefining process workflows through collaboration with other business groups. As well as help mentor our Co-op students.About the teamReporting to the Manager of Finance & Accounting, which oversees all aspects of Financial Accounting at Deloitte Canada. The team is accountable for the firm financial accounting and reporting, while ensuring the integrity of financial inputs through a strong controls framework. We strive to add value by bringing insights to help decision making and to drive action. This is a dynamic group of highly motivated individuals focused on continuous learning and growth, added-value analysis and driving efficiencies through process improvement and automation.We are under a preapproved CPA program, for those that are working towards the CPA designation.Enough about us, let’s talk about youYou are someone who has:

  • Minimum 0-3 years of progressive experience in Finance, including accounting, FP&A, external audit, and/or other relevant areas
  • Degree in accounting or business/commerce, with preference for those working towards or completed a relevant industry-recognized certification (Canadian CPA or APPA)
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and analytical skills, with ability to draw insights and convey complex information in a straightforward manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail and ability to communicate managers
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities with little direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate innovation with outside the box thinking utilizing evolving technologies
  • Knowledge of SAP (and other large ERP systems), Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Cognos, Blackline, Excel Macros & PowerBI is considered an asset
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, and other duties required on an ad-hoc basis

Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $47,000 – $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
