Preference will be given to internal candidates.Position SummaryFaculty in School of Community Studies are responsible for providing instruction to learners; evaluating learner progress, designing and developing curriculum and instructional materials, and supporting learners in meeting the learning outcomes of their courses and programs.Candidates must be committed to effective teaching and demonstrate the ability to teach courses within the field of Disability Studies. This includes but is not limited to teaching face to face; on-line; in blended delivery settings; and in the workplace.Position responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides Quality Instruction in Courses as Assigned
  • Provides a Positive Learning Experience for Learners
  • Builds and Maintains Relationship with Internal and External Stakeholders and promote the Department and the College
  • Other Duties /Special Projects

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is Disability Studies or related field (Masters preferred)
  • 5 years of experience
  • Direct industry-related field experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Curriculum development an asset
  • Industry relationship an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Police Information Check including a vulnerable sector
