QC Technician – Islands West Manufacturers

Title of the Job: QC Technician

Location: Victoria, BC

Job Description: Are you looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment? We are looking for 2 self-motivated Quality Control Technicians to join our team. As a member of our Operations Team, you will work with a team to ensure products are handled properly, complying with health & safety standards.Schedule Requirements:

• (PM): Mon- Fri 2pm -10:30pm
• (AM): Sun – Thurs 6am – 2:30pm

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Perform various inspections including, daily operational inspection, room temperature monitoring, metal detection verification, building inspection, and monitor GMP’s
• Carry out all line checks to ensure compliance with product and process specifications
• Inspect raw material products and outgoing products, and report any deficiencies
• Perform control point checks, pre-shipment reviews, and allergen checks
• Review and verify production records for completion and accuracy
• Microbial sampling of raw materials, environmental, and finished products
• Adhere to food safety and HACCP Principles

Your Qualifications Include:

• Minimum 3 years extensive knowledge in quality control
• University/Bachelor/Diploma of Food Science & chemical or equivalent
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and methodical in documentation and processes
• A self-starter, a team player, and a finisher
• Physically capable of carrying up to 20 lbs
